ILC was the first to introduce electronic textiles (E-textiles) to space suits. We have incorporated E-textile switches, cabling, sensors, and computer input/output devices in space suits. These devices reduce the electro-mechanical encumbrance on the wearer and improve performance. Many of our technologies have been tested in laboratory tests as well in NASA Desert RATS tests with great success. We have also developed and tested solutions for US Special Forces that use similar technologies.
